I keep wanting to turn my intellectual work into games people can play. I am curious what people are doing to hack organizational culture to have more creative and fun experiences, facilitation games, and patterns of protocols. Let's discuss. Let's see if we can make a game out of it. [Ask Manar about the day of "Get off the Bus" they made up in London] [Love this!/AWS]

Alexandra S Hacking Parenthood
Maybe it's redundant to have another conversation about the intersection of parenting, technology, and parenting as a geek. I mean, we've done this at Yes for the past two or three years, so I figure we must have the whole kids-and-screens thing *totally* figured out now. But on the off-chance that other people are still trying to figure out how to deal with their kids between now and the singularity, let's meet up in the pool (or inside?) and talk nerd parenting. [PS I think this year might benefit from a little more focus -- does anyone want to see the research our past talks helped inspire? Sneak peak here: http://bit.ly/3digitalworlds Other ideas most welcome!]

How about themed drinks? Maybe a Purple Rain (see Pinterest board) and a Ziggy Stardust?
Jeff R When you say "see Pinterest board" is that a SPECIFIC Y&YY board? Or just a cocktail one? I know the "Ziggy Stardust" is a cocktail that exists a few places already, but these recipes (http://www.marcussamuelsson.com/recipe/ziggy-stardust-cocktail , http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/food-wine/drinks/75958241/Raise-a-glass-to-David-Bowie-with-our-Ziggy-Stardust-cocktail ) are not easily replicable at a catered bar event like the prom usually is. Carla and I created a custom cocktail menu for our wedding, and the secret is always "Keep it simple" since they'll have to make dozens at a time sometimes? I have, for years, been trying to perfect a clear, crisp and only slightly sweet drink named The Thin White Duke (that's NOT just a gin and tonic) and I may take up that challenge again...
